About ASHM

Our purpose

The Australasia Society for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, and Sexual Health Medicine (ASHM) is a peak organisation of health professionals in Australia and New Zealand who work in HIV, viral hepatitis and sexually transmissible infections (STIs). ASHM draws on its experience and expertise to support the health workforce and to contribute to the sector, domestically and internationally.

Who we are

ASHM is a professional, not-for-profit, member-based organisation. It supports its members, sector partners and collaborators to generate knowledge and action in clinical management and research, education, policy and advocacy in Australasia and internationally.

Resources

ASHM develops a comprehensive range of practical resources to support the HIV, viral hepatitis and STI workforce, as well as a series of profession-based booklets for groups most in contact with BBVs and STIs.  The resources focus on prevention, diagnosis, management and treatment and are available in printed and/or online formats.
